View Yarns

There are two ways to view the yarns on offer at Honora Wool Specialists. Intitally click the 'View Yarn' button at the top of the page. The next screen gives you two options;

Choose Yarn Manuacturer and
Choose yarn colour, ply and composition.

The first option allows you to view the yarn manufacturers we stock. To view the manufacturers click on the link 'Choose Manufacturer'. The next page then displays a list of manufacturers, (e.g. Twilleys of Stanford, Jaeger, etc.). From this page it is possible to view the yarn ranges offered by each manufacturer. Click on the required manufacturer's name to view the ranges. All the colours of the yarn in that range will then be displayed together with information on sizes available, price, etc. on the 'Yarns Available' page. It is possible to return to the page showing the list of Ranges by clicking the 'Previous Page' button, and also to return to the page displaying the Manufacturers by clicking the 'Previous Pages' button.

The second option, (Choose yarn, colour, ply and composition) allows you to view yarns by all manufacturers based upon which colour, ply and yarn composition are required. Click on 'Choose yarn, colour and composition' to proceed. The next page show three 'drop down menu boxes', one for colour, one for ply and one for composition. To specifiy your requirements click on the arrows on the to the right of each of the boxes and the full list will be displayed. From this point highlight your selection by clicking on it and repeat the process until you are satisfied with your criteria. When you click the 'Next' button the yarns fitting your criteria will be displayed together with the Manufacturer and Range name on the 'Yarns Available' page. To view sizes available and prices click on the 'Add to basket' button. Don't worry, at this nothing will actually be added to your shopping basket, but the available sizes and corresponding prices will be displayed. Ordering Yarns

To order yarns you must first view the yarn you wish to order. For information on how to view yarns click the How do I view yarns? text at the top of the page. From the 'Yarns Available' page you will be able to see images on the left of the screen of the yarns fitting the criteria selected together with information about the yarns and a picture of a shopping basket with the text 'Add to shopping basket' on the right of the screen. To place an order for a yarn, click on the corresponding shopping basket. You will then be taken to a new page, 'Please select yarn size and quantity,' which will list all the sizes that the yarns are supplied in. There is a box provided where you can select the quantity of yarns required. Once you have entered the quantity required next to the size required click the 'Add Item' button. (Please note that if you leave the quantity field empty the yarn will still be added to your shopping basket with a quantity of 1.)

Once you have clicked the 'Add Item' button you will reach your 'virtual shopping basket'. This page displays the yarn(s) you have selected together with manufacturer and range name of the yarn, the yarn size select, (Yarn Weight,) the Price and quantity selected. The total price of the yarn(s) selected is displayed together with the total weight of your order. (Please note that the Postage and Packaging charge is not included with the total price here, as this is determined by where the order is to be sent together with the total weight of the order. For more information click How much will the Postage and Packaging cost? at the top of the page.)

When you have added a Yarn to your shopping basket you have the option of viewing more yarns, or submitting your order. To view more yarns click the 'Continue Shopping' button which will display the page to choose how you wish to search for yarns. (For more information on how to view yarns click the How do I view yarns? option at the top of the page.) To submit your order click the 'Go To Check Out' button. You will then be required to select the country to which the order is to be sent.On the Shopping Basket page there are also options to amend the quantity of a yarn, remove a yarn from your order or clear your shopping basket altogether.

Amending the quantity of yarns

The current quantity will be displayed to the right of the page for each of the yarns currently in your shopping basket. To alter the quantity of yarns you require highlight the quantity box for that particular yarn and type in the new quantity. Once you have entered the revised quantity you must click the 'Update' button to register the change you've made. The total price and total weight information will be updated to reflect the change.


Removing a yarn from your order

On the shopping basket page each yarn has the text 'Remove Yarn' to the far right of the screen. To remove a specific yarn from your order click the 'Remove Yarn' text, and the yarn will be removed, (there is no need to click the 'Update' button when removing a yarn.


Clearing your Shopping Basket

It is possible to clear all yarns from your shopping basket by clicking the 'Clear Basket' button on the 'Shopping Basket' page. This will remove all items from your shopping basket and display the Honora Wool Specialist home page.

Selecting your country

Once you have chosen to submit your order, you will be asked to select your country. For the purpose of placing an order with Honora wool specialists, you should select the name of the country where the order is to be sent, even if this country is different to the country that you live in. To select your country highlight the 'drop down menu' in the centre of the screen. This will display all of the countries we are able to send orders. Select the country from the list and click the 'Next' button to proceed. As their are many countries contained in our list, you may find it useful to press the first letter of the required country on you keyboardand continue scolling down through the list. E.g. for United States of America, type 'U', for Canada type 'C', etc.

Once you have clicked the next button the Postage and Packaging Cost will be calculated and displayed, together with the total price of your order. You will then have the option to proceed with your order, by clicking the 'Proceed with Order' button or cancel your order by clicking the 'Cancel Order' button. Please note that if you cancel your order your shopping basket will be entered.


Postage and Packaging charges

The cost of the Postage and Pakaging charges are calculated based on the weight of the yarns in your order and the country the order is to be sent to. We use 'Royal Mail' or Parcel Force, depending on the weight of your order, to send all our orders. More information can be found by clicking the Delivery button.

Entering name and address details

Once you have clicked the 'Proceed With Order' button on the 'Procced with Order?' page the Personal details page is displayed. At this point the web site is running from a 'secure server.' The Personal Details page contains a number of boxes to enter all the details required to process your order, e.g. First Name, Surname, etc. To process your order we need to know your name and address so we can send your order to you, and you must enter all the details in the 'Name' and 'Address' categories. If you miss some of the information that we need a small message will be displayed requesting the information.

If the address you enter in the 'Address' category is the address that you wish your order to be sent then you Do Not need to enter these details again into the 'Delivery Address' category Please note that the information you enter on this page is used to process your order only we will not use your personal details for any other purpose, e.g. they will not be forwarded to any other third parties, etc. Once you have entered the your personal details click the 'Place Order' button.

Entering a delivery address (if relevant)

In some instances you may wish to send your order to an address which is different from your own address. If this is the case then you should enter the relevant information in the 'Delivery Address' category. (As stated in the Entering name and address details section above, you only need to complete the 'Delivery Address' category where the delivery address differs from your own address.) Once you have entered all the details required click the 'Place Order' button.


Entering payment details

Once you have entered your name and address details you will be asked for your payment details. At Honora Wool Specialists we accept the following payment methods; Delta, MasterCard, Solo, Switch and Visa. Our web site has some facililties to check the information you enter on this page but please remeber to enter the information carefully to enable us to process your order as efficiently as possible. The information reuired will vary slightly depending upon which payment type you are using, (e.g. some methods require an issue date, like Switch, whilst others don't like Visa.)


Entering Card Type

To select which card type you want to use, click on the arrow to the right of the 'drop down menu' box for Card Type and highlight the relevant Card Type.

Entering Card Number

You should enter your card number in the 'Card Number' box provided. Our web site will check the number entered depending upon the card type selected:

Delta: the card number should be 13 or 16 digits long, MasterCard: the card number should be 16 digits long, Solo: the card number should be 16, 18 or 19 digits long, Switch: the card number should be 16, 18 or 19 digits long, Visa: the card number should be 13 or 16 digits long.

In addition to this MasterCard and Visa numbers will be validated. If the number entered is found to be invalid you will be prompted to check the number you've entered. If you enter a Delta, Solo or Switch we will check these when your order is being processed. If we find the card number entered is invalid you will be contacted via e-mail to rectify the situation.


Entering Issue Number

You should enter an Issue number only if you are paying by 'Switch'. If you are paying by any method other than switch you do not need to enter an Issue number. If you wish to pay by Switch and forget to enter the Issue number you will be prompted for this information.


Entering Start/Expiry Date

The Start Date is only required for 'Switch' and 'Solo' card types. If you forget to enter the Start Date you will be prompted for the information. We require the expiry date for all card types.

When you enter the Start Date (if required) and Expiry Date please enter the information as it appears on your card in the mm/yy format, e.g. 02/02 for February 2002.

Submitting Your Order

Once you have chosen your yarns, entered your name and address details and entered all of the relevant payment information click the 'Next' button on the 'Payment Details' page. The various checks mentioned above will be made relating to the details entered, and if these checks are satisfied you will be asked to confirm whether you wish to place the order. You are also offered the option of amending the details entered, (in case you noticed that any information has been mistyped, etc.) To amend the details entered click the 'Amend Details' button, to confirm the order, click the 'Submit Order' button.

At this point your order is placed with Honora Wool Specialists. When we have recieved your order, you will be sent an e-mail confirming this.

Once your order has been sent to us you will see a screen confirming the details of the order you've placed. It may be useful to save this page or print it out for your records. It will display all details of your order (apart from your payment details) and you should make a note of the 'Order No' shown at the top of this page. Click 'Print' to print the page and/or click 'Home' to return to the Honora Wool Specialists website.

Once your order has been packaged and despatched you will be sent an e-mail confirming this. Details for how long your order will take to reach you are accessed by clicking the Delivery button shown at the top of the page.
